If you find a link that does not work on this web site or have ideas for improvement, please send them to girlscouts@Glastonbury-Scouts.org Recruitment for Girls who wish to join Glastonbury Girl Scouts For girls who are interested in joining Glastonbury girl scouts, please fill out the recruitment form. You will be contacted by a Glastonbury girl scout representative. Troops are usually formed during the first month of school. Troops are dependant on the number of girls and the availablility of leaders. Leader Information Leaders and troop helpers: If you have not done so already, please click here and complete our contact information form to help us facilitate communications for the 2011-2012 year. Town News Service Unit Team We have a couple of positions that need to be filled. Eastbury School Coordinator To help everyone understand the duties, please refer to the document " Glastonbury Service Unit Team." If you are interested in any of these positions, send an email to girlscouts@Glastonbury-Scouts.org Leader Meetings Leader meetings are scheduled during the school year, every other month, starting in September. Leaders are encouraged to attend. These meeting provide information on town and council activities, as well as updates in council policies. They also offer a time to meet with other leaders to discuss ideas and issues. The 2011-2012 leader meeting have been scheduled yet. Events are scheduled as dates allowed, not on particular days. Please mark your calendar: Tuesday, Sept 27 Monday, Nov 28 Monday, Jan 30 (snow date Feb 6) Tuesday, March 20 Tuesday, May 29 Trips Check out the new Trip Request Form. If your troop is planning a trip, you must notify the Service Unit Manager. This has been made easy by completing this form. This form DOES NOT take the place of notifying council for camping trips, high risk activities or any other reason council needs to ne notified. This will ONLY notify the Service Unit Manager of your upcoming trip. You are asked to complete this form when you submit the necessary forms to council or at least 2 weeks prior to your trip. Happy Birthday Juliette Low A birthday party for Juliette Low will be held for Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts. It will be held on October 22, from 2:00 - 4:00. For more information see Juliette Low B-day Party invite. or contact Kelly. Ron-A-Roll The Ron-A-Roll data has been set for Saturday, Nov 12, from 4:30 - 6:30. Other Ideas For other activity ideas visit our resources page or visit our new web forum. First Aid Course A First Aid class will be scheduled for the fall. Notification will be sent out to leaders when the class is scheduled. The cost of recertification only is $20, the cost of the full course is $35 Remember that first aid is good for 3 years but CPR must be renewed every year. If you need more information on the first aid class or the CPR recertification class, please contact our First Aid instructor, firstaid@glastonbury-scouts.org. Make sure you include your name, phone number and troop number when you request by email or your request may not be acknowledged. Payment is required before confirmation of your registration. Council News Our Council Representative is Charlotte Etier. Call Charlotte at 860-522-0163 and ask for Charlotte, if you have any questions or concerns.
