Recruitment for Girls who wish to join Glastonbury Girl Scouts
For girls who are interested in joining Glastonbury girl scouts, please fill out the recruitment form. You will be contacted by a Glastonbury girl scout representative.

2008-2009 Glastonbury Leader Guide is online. If you have suggestions for changes or questions for the FAQ, please send them to girlscouts@Glastonbury-Scouts.org.

Troops Registered: 75 of 77 (as of 2/01/09) Please register as soon as possible.
Remember that your troop needs to be registered before beginning activities. Unregistered girls scouts are not covered by girl scout insurance, and if anything were to happen the troop leader would be liable.

Leader Meetings
Leader meetings are scheduled during the school year, every other month, starting in September. Leaders are encouraged to attend.
The 2008-2009 leader meeting have been scheduled for the following dates. Please mark your calendar
Monday - March 16, 2009
Wednesday - May 20, 2009



Trips
Check out the new Trip Request Form.
If your troop is planning a trip, you should notify the Service Unit Manager. This has been made easy by completing this form. This form DOES NOT take the place of notifying council for camping trips, high risk activities or any other reason council needs to ne notified. This will ONLY notify the Service Unit Manager of your upcoming trip. You are asked to complete this form when you submit the necessary forms to council or at least 2 weeks prior to your trip.



Townwide Camping
-Mark your calendars! Glastonbury Girl Scouts will be camping at Timber Trails the weekend of May 23-24, 2009. The weekend is open to scouts of all ages. The townwide camping will be organized by Laura. More information to come.

First Aid Course
First Aid classes will be scheduled for the spring. Notification will be sent out to leaders when the class is scheduled.
